Editorial policy
Readers use our guides to make real decisions with real money, so we take accuracy seriously. This page explains how we work.
Our standards
- Useful first. Every guide should help you make a better booking decision. If a page doesn't do that, we rewrite it or remove it.
- Honest about uncertainty. Prices, fees, opening times and entry rules change. Rather than print figures that will quickly go out of date, we explain what to check and where.
- No fabrication. We don't invent reviews, quotes, testimonials, hotel names or personal experiences.
- Original writing. Every guide is written for this site, not copied from elsewhere.
How we research
We use official sources wherever possible: national and city tourism boards, government travel advice, transport operators, cruise lines' and hotels' own published policies, and consumer-rights bodies. Where rules depend on your nationality or circumstances, we say so and point you to the official source.
Updates and corrections
Each guide shows when it was last updated. We review guides regularly and whenever we learn that something has changed. If you spot a mistake, email [email protected] - we check every report and correct errors promptly.
Commercial independence
Our editors decide what to cover and recommend. Partner commissions (see our affiliate disclosure) never decide what we say, and we don't accept payment for positive coverage. Any sponsored content in the future will be clearly labelled as such.
How we write (AI-assisted, human-checked)
We are open about how our guides are made:
- AI-assisted drafts. Many guides start as a draft written with the help of an AI writing tool, based on a keyword plan and our own outline.
- Automatic checks before publishing. Every draft must pass quality checks (length, structure, working links, no invented prices, names or settings) before it goes live.
- Human spot-checks, not a promise to read every page. We read a sample of new guides every week, check their facts against official or primary sources and correct anything wrong. Guides that fail a check are fixed or taken down.
- Corrections. If you find a mistake, tell us and we fix it quickly.
We take full responsibility for every page on this site, however it was drafted.
